2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Galway have been really entertaining getting destroyed by average teams the last few years in fairness.

The Connacht and Ulster championships should be prioritised in football

Thereā€™s an overbearing intensity to it, like being in a bar with a lad from ulster downing pints and beginning to mutter about politics, the best you can hope for is dour inanity, but violence and score settling is never far off.

Are kerry, the league champions that year an average team?

What are you on about? Iā€™m referring to Galway getting embarrassed by Roscommon and Tipp the last two years

RTE avoid being snubbed by Mickey Harte by toddling off elsewhere.
A reverse ballhop kinda manouvear.

Roscommon are division one, kerry was last year. Tipp was an embarrassment alright. No way a county with no tradition and no skill players should do that. But then sometime worse teams have a good day, like the tipp hurlers who only beat us in 2016 as joe and touhy got injured

Yer man has been replying for minutes here, steam coming out of his ears. There wont be excellent service at the garage tomorrow morning

This is the football thread mate. Try to keep your obsession to the relevant threads. Galway have been awful at football for most of the past 20 years

Galway werenā€™t too bad at football in 2001. They won the All Ireland.

You seem to have missed the key word in the sentence there Geoff

Tipperary always had a tradition of football and had contested five finals before galway contested one.

Galway won an all ireland in that timespan and just played in a league final. Tipp and most of the rest of the flyover counties could only dream of that

Many since?

I think you should look up the word tradition in the dictionary buddy

Ill take it thats a no.

A ā€œtraditionalā€ football county taking pride out of getting beaten in a league final

You can take it whatever way you like buddy

Weā€™re third in the roll of honour. If you think that placing doesnā€™t make a county a traditional power that makes for very interesting reading.

Bald men fighting over a comb here.

When do the Dubs start?
