Let’s be honest, Dublin would bate Donegal if this game was played on the moon. The venue is irrelevant.

The GGA are just trying to protect their margins. The accountants running the GGA won’t like the Dubs playing in smaller venues. And when you factor in the dismal crowds the stick hurling has been attracting so far this year, then it becomes imperative to milk the Dublin cash cow for all it is worth.

Dublin are box office. Biggest and best supported team in any sport in Ireland. Their home venue is too small to accommodate the supporters they attract.
