Derry have a proud gaa tradition. As had tyrone, despite their shocking lack of success at County and club level. Decent gaa people in tyrone are ashamed of the behaviour of harte and Co.
If there were any decent GAA people in Derry the senior county team wouldnât be in the embarrassing position it currently is in.
Bollox. It took a crooked ref to put us out this year. Look at the number of clubs in tyrone and the size of them compared to most counties in ulster and Ireland. Itâs a testament to the fundamental lack of character in the county that youâve never won anything without stopping to thuggery, chicanery, cowardice and behaviour so deplorable that it wasnât even reported on. You know what Iâm talking about.
Ooooft
Heâs actually from Armagh mate.
And Italy
And Columbia
And Cloud Cockooland
You should be ashamed of your county. An embarrassment, exercising petty grudges with little pride or honour in the jersey. Lads opting out of senior county action left, right and centre and then chaps like yourself far more interested in trying to bring down their neighbouring county than actually trying to tackle the culture of blame and failure in his own county.
Derry are an embarrassment, they are destructive and not constructive. You are the epitome of that culture.
Guys who have more interested in chasing American dollars than winning trophies with their county, constantly stabbing each other in the back.
Nonsense, Iâm just providing a cool objective overview of the current championship.
Derry are doing their best etc.
You should appreciate my insight, I have your best interests at heart. Honest.
Ya but that doesnât stop Gavin. Players get over that if other things are right
His biggest issue was he only brought in people he knew well and they were easy to control or yes men. Nobody that would challenge him other than Murphy and oâNeill and both left.
It seems CON was excellent at the prep and DM was astute on the line.
You have to challenge yourself as a manager. Yes men are a waste of time
Derry are not doing their best. They are sabotaging themselves with a shred of remorse. Itâs a toxic culture and it is why they are such an embarrassment at the minute. This is the county of Anthony Tohill, Henry Downey, Sean Marty Lockhart and Paddy Bradley and theyâre now a laughing stock all over the country and nobody cares in Derry.
The only thing Derry people care about is bringing their toxic self sabotage culture and trying to exercise a campaign of poison against Mickey Harte.
A very decent stab at a team there. Galway will surely get one all star. Walsh the front runner at the minute but Comer or one of their full back line might sneak one also. Daniel Flynn was surely in line for one until his sending off. Kilkenny is the most obvious Dublin player excluded. Ryan McHugh is another unlucky one.
Nonsense, the county team isnât going that well. Peaks and troughs.
Fair comment Kev.
I hate Kerry football or anybody or thing to do with it. Iâm annoyed he stepped away from stagnating them.
Good point.
As a Cork man though itâs disappointing we couldnât be taking advantage
It hasnât been going well for over 20 years. The attitude of the players and fans is the reason why.
You could say that about a lot of Counties.
Kev there is nothing Iâd like to see more than to see the Cork footballers come good again and dominate for a long time. Unfortunately for Cork your countyâs psyche has been obliterated by those strikes. Very sad for decent gaa people down there in Cork who knew at the time the damage it would do.
Tyrone have one squad of players in the entire county. They pool their resources to give a veneer of credibility.
Derryâs best players wonât play for their county. They are a disgrace, how many of them opted out of county football to chase a few US dollars this summer?
Uve an awful hang-up about lads earning a few quid.
I find it odd that glenshane can look at Tyrone GAA with a critical lens when his own county are a laughing stock where nobody will even play for them or support them.
How can they be Derryâs best players if theyâre not playing for Derry? Your point is absurd.
