Ah well. Tyrone did ok considering injuries. Monaghan have had a fair bit of hard football over the last few years. They were due a result
I donât see anyone troubling Tyrone bar Mayo.
Tyrone are streets ahead of the rest
They are but as Mayo found out in the past few years, if youâre off your game in the qualifiers you can be taken.
Hopefully McCann and Cavanagh can get their fitness back now. Inside forward line is a bit of a worry, with McCurry gone now it only really leaves OâNeill as an option off the bench and doesnât look heâs going to deliver on his underage promise.
Think Harte needs to add some options in the inside forward line to the squad there now but there is probably not anyone who can really impact now bar young McNabb from Dromore but heâll be with the u20s for the year.
Thereâs a 6.66% chance of Tyrone and Mayo facing off in Round 1 of the qualifiers.
They canât meet in Rounds 2 or 4.
Should both advance to Round 3, there will be a 14.28% chance of them facing off.
That means theresâs a 20.94% chance of their paths crossing in the qualifiers at any stage.
No due to the possibility of a replay. It wonât be till the following weekend.
The angle of the grass cut in Omagh is very disconcerting
More embarrassment for Tyrone
You get a better quality of grass cutting and rolling in the Ulster championship.
Great to see a packed house here. Only one of the day
Go onâŚ
Stick on BBC2 there mate
Presbyterian work ethic. Nothing like it
Perfectly executed clothesline by Karl OâConnell on Conor Meyler. Wonderful tackling.
Black card for Wylie there I would have thought
He was Wylie enough to know heâd get away with it.
Monaghan appear to be using the Dublin attacking approach of getting players to hog the touchlines. Good example there with Drew Wylieâs point with the last attack of the first half.
Frank Burns was outstanding.
They mentioned that during commentary that Monaghan seemed to replicate the Dublin template from the semi final last year
Tyrone were very poor on the Monaghan kickouts.
Ryan McAnespie can count himself exceeedingly unlucky to have had a superb score ruled out and called back for a free in, but he scored an equally superb one with the next play. Then he was an integral part of Conor McCarthyâs point.
Brilliant scores all round here early in the second half here Conor McAliskey picking off a peach.
