2019/2020 Champions League semi finals

Was that Leipzig keeper knocking around the EPL before. Name is familiar but have never recall seeing him play

He was at Liverpool for a while. Could have been a youth academy product or bought at a young age from some Hungarian club.

Lad on his hole there kept the PSG lad onside :man_facepalming:

Bad night for Leipzig but Nagelmann seems to be a very promising young manager. Would be an ideal replacement for Herr Klopp when he unfortunately steps aside in 2024. I’m sure a top club will snap him up in the meantime though!

@Big_Dan_Campbell @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy would Mbappe have any similar characteristics to the original Ronaldo?

When did the semi finals of European cup / Champions league last not feature a team from England , Spain and Italy ???

You wouldn’t see that suit at a county Clare wedding in fairness

Ready for a feed of Smithwicks after the Turkey and Ham dinner.

The closest thing that has came since but nowhere near as phenomenal.

Neymar has been exceptional tonight.

1991, I read the other day is the only time it’s ever happened. The English champions, Liverpool weren’t invited by UEFA to take up their place in the 1990/91 renewal, so this is actually the first time it’s happened with representatives form England, Italy and Spain competing.

It’s also the first set of semi finals without Ronaldo or Messi in 14 seasons.

The man Argentina should have been built around for a decade

Fuck sake I didn’t think to change formation.

That’s a deadly team

I doubt it would work in reality. Ronaldo and Messi wouldn’t pass to each other for a start, and no doubt that bollox Figo would be up to no good as well. Can’t see my two wingers giving my back three much cover either. We’d be unreal with the ball though

Marcelo ahead of Carlos for me
