I think their defensive principles are very sound
The game is much more high scoring and open than it was in 2012
It isn’t realistic to expect them to tie teams up like McGuinness’s teams did
They play the game like Dublin now

The big test for Donegal is when or if they play another big side and they don’t dominate the primary possession from kickouts. It has been the foundation for their wins over both Tyrone and Cavan. They coughed up a few goal chances early doors against Tyrone and Cavan have had a few today as well.
They look good today but Cavan haven’t lad a hand on them.
The Cavan lad celebrating
Lovely goal.
Maradonaesque.
That must be the highest aggregate score in Ulster final history
Probably by some distance too
Kerry and Donegal will be a great game.
Cork or Cavan is the plum draw for the sides coming through the qualifiers as they will go into the group with Dublin and Roscommon.
Despite Cavan never being genuinely competitive in that game there was a lot to admire about their second half performance
It was a very entertaining second half with a lot of very good football played
Ulster is leading the way in the attacking revolution sweeping through the game
A great Ulster championship overall
The begrudgers should keep their grubby hands off it
Donegal will take stopping. I’d make them All Ireland favorites now.
It doesn’t really get more Ulster Football than that.
We could do with a few like him in Galway
Same starting XV named for Tyrone as last week, suspect there might be a few late changes. Cassidy went off late last weekend with a foot injury.
McCann not named in the 26, there were murmurs about that he picked up an achilles injury against Donegal so there may be something to that.
McErlain gone.
If the Derry board had anything about them they’d make Malachy O’Rourke an offer he can’t refuse.
Pushed?
Wouldn’t be 100% but think it was his own decision. He did OK with the minors and maybe tread water a bit at senior even tho he got promotion but I think he couldn’t see any serious improvement coming. Decent enough fella mind.
Maybe Malachy should make the Derry board an offer they can’trefuse.
What about Gormley and mccusker?
I think Joe Brolly should be given the job
