2022 European Championships - Munich

9th it looks like. A procession for Ingebrightsen

Jesus that Norwegian lad looked like he had another few laps in him at that pace whereas everyone else was dead. Some shaper.

Sure he won the 5000m as well. He’s a freak

Roisin Flanagan up now in the 5000m final. Her twin sister ran in the 3000m steeplechase this morning

Ahh that would explain it. Only 21 as well fair play to him.

Cracking race

The Germans have pulled out some belters of home wins in these championships and that might be the best of the lot.

That was some demolition by the Germam

Eilish McColgan has such an attritional running style. She’ll barely make her late 20s with that style.

Roisin was 14th. Never had a chance once the pace picked up

German aul doll still jogging around with the flag

Makes Paula Radcliffe look elegant and her mother look like Swan Lake. A late friend of me oul’ fella used to say about women runners that “some of them look like they’re running with a bomb up their arse”.

I’m afraid it would be difficult to disagree with that assessment in relation to Eilish.

Jaysus, RTE looking ahead to tomorrow’s action talking about semi finals of some races and completely ignore / forget about Ciara Mageean in the 1500m final

Watching on BBC here and O’Dowda is representing GBR apparently.

Friday is relay day

Our lass is in the 4 x 400

How did the men’s 100m go today?

They dropped the baton at the 2nd changeover when in 2nd/3rd position. Disaster

Is @Mac a bot on this thread ??

Elbows Shanahan qualifies for the final of the women’s 800 metres. Strong performance to hold off a German for third place in her semi.

She did really well to hold off the challenge of the Turkish drug cheat in 4th.
