Germany will score for fun against Costa Rica. They have the advantage of having drawn against Spain in what was by far the highest quality game in the tournament thus far. I dont think any of the Brazil starting midfield today would get in the Spanish team.

Spain are crying out for forwards of the quality of the Brazilians though. So are Germany. A 33 Tom Muller still starting up front for them. That Fulkrug fella who scored last night wouldn’t get remotely close to a Brazilian squad.

Australia have a puncher’s chance of holding Denmark to a draw, but they don’t have much chance of going much further should they do so, whereas Denmark do.

Similarly with the US, if they progress, they have a chance of reaching a quarter-final at least. I don’t see Iran posing much of a threat to the Dutch should they advance.

Germany only had to beat South Korea to qualify last time and lost to them 2-0.
