If the Saudis win then Poland also need a result. A Saudi win is probably the worst result in dâother game from an Argentinian or Polish perspective.
Poland seem to be an international side I have seen a lot of in recent years. I happened to see their 2 games against England in the qualifiers too. They were able to eke out a well earned point at home and a win would not have flattered them on the night. They also could and should have picked up something on the night in Wembley but a very late Harry Maguire goal was the difference. Argentina on current form will be up against it. A draw might do them but its hard to see Argentina creating too many chances and as you said, they will ultimately be relying on a moment of magic from Messi again from a free kick or an individual effort. I think Mexico get their first win of the tournament. The cat is out of the bag with regards to the Saudis, Mexico were vrey conservative in their opener against Poland and given history between the sides they tried to neutralise Argentina knowing any kind of result there would leave it in their own hands on the final day which is what they would have been happy with at the outset. I think they finally take the shackles off tonight and go for it.
Predictions: Argentina 1 1 Poland
Mexico 2 1 Saudi Arabia
In a way it being Frances b team might mean they will be absolutely going for it. The lads coming in have nothing to lose.
Think theyâll win by 2 goals plus.
Denmark are better than Australia. They are struggling to score, but if they can get their noses in front the damn will open. They know they have to win which makes life easier I think.
Think theyâll win by 2 goals plus.
The other group is a toss up. I have gone for both teams to score in both games as each game requires winners so there should be gaps.
Tbh they havenât been a good watch post 2006 World Cup for the most part. Although they reached the final in 2014 they were involved in a very drab semi-final against the Dutch. Poor enough in 2018 too apart from the crazy game against the French in the round of 16. Their whole style of play is so reliant on Messi finding pockets of space than it can inevitably end up a constipated watch when teams double up on him.
With this in mind I canât abide with the common desire for an Argentina v Portugal final to see Messi v Ronaldo. Iâd imagine it would be an underwhelming game like the Euro 2016 final between France and Portugal.
Is there a desire to see that?
France vs Croatia was actually a good final the last time between the two best teams in the competition.
They said that when Italy did likewise against us.
Iâve seen quite a few videos on social media with people eager to see a final between Messi and Ronaldo. Iâd much prefer a Brazil v France or Spain v France final tbh. I enjoyed the Euro 2020 final because of the English angle. It always makes it a more enticing spectacle to see them come agonisingly close with no cigar.
Jesus now that youâve both said it, its almost like its inevitable this will happen.
I missed a good chunk of that keeping tabs on Galwayâs victory over Kerry in the Super 8âs which ran simultaneously with it.
Spoken like a true footix
Tunisia goal ruled out for offside, unbelievable free-kick delivery.
I only saw the first 35-40 minutes of the 2018 World Cup Final, as my life partner went into labour and I thought I better tag along to the hospital with her.
France are playing a very narrow 4-4-2, 4 central midfielders, Camavinga at left-back, Coman & Kolo Muani up top.
Tunisia well on top early doors.
Its like Deschamps picked the names from a hat
Khazri playing for a penalty when it opened up.
Braithwaite should have shot himself in the other game.

The day Tom Morrisey walked all over the Cats in front of a huge Limerick crowd (and tiny KK crowd) in Thurles
Whereâs Yussuf Poulsen? Havenât seen him yet at this tournament. That little Sisto lad who caused us a world of problems in 2017 doesnât seem to be in the squad anymore.
I watched inside in Sars after the match.
LaĂŻdouni is after humiliating Camavinga
