2022 FIFA World Cup (Part 1)

That’s fucked up… It should be free to air in every country.

Argentina never really had a proper presence in midfield; they had a bit of joy early on with the balls over the top but were obviously caught offside a lot.

Paredes was poor and De Paul ran around a lot but didn’t have enough forward passes.

They completely lost all structure at the start of the second half and conceded two goals in that time. Now, they had chances to equalise for sure but didn’t seem that well set up to break down the Saudis who showed a lot more energy. Keeper was good, they defended stoutly.

Messi probably should have scored when yer man was down after getting kneed in the face.

The Saudis topped their Asian qualifying group ahead of Japan and finished 8 points ahead of Australia over 10 games.

The memory of that hapless goalkeeper in the tracksuit bottoms they had when they lost 8-0 to Germany in 2002 has lasted too long, and Argentina fell right into the trap.

With Mexico up next?

The Saudis energy levels were remarkable. The high line helps with that though, they suffocated Argentina

A great day for those of us who drew Saudi Arabia in the sweepstake.

I watched it on the RTÉ player

They’ll be dancing on the streets of Newcastle tonight.

They might as well have had Lynsey de Paul in midfield.

They can pay off the Mexicunts in turn now.

Argentina looked like they had a team donated by St. Vincent de Paul.

They don’t do too well in wars either, when the year ends in 2.

Keane seems surprisingly strong on the whole anti qatar/ captains wearing the armband issue. Don’t remember him being hugely vocal about any social issues before. I bet ya he has a close relative or one of his kids who’s gay. You’d often find when these issues come to your own doorstep it focuses the mind.

Argies battered them on the xG

What’s he saying there?

Some result for Saudi Arabia.

The world would be a much better place if more people focused on sport than religion and politics.
