Getting the 50/50 decisions is a benefit of being European royalty so it was strange to see the ref give Kroos a yellow there.

Hard disagree there with Chippy but that’s football in the modern era. Referee needed to be stronger but you can’t blame Madrid from pushing as far as they could. Some proper nasty hits put in on Gundo and Jacker

I think a one goal defeat here wouldn’t suit “Manchester City” too badly. Leaves the onus on them to attack but they aren’t going to get hit by a sucker punch with the away goal rule out of the picture.
