It’s surely just a case of underage structure being poor and that all coming to fruition now. They have all the facilities necessary and yet it’s a mess.
DB have fantastic facilities that are located on the opposite side of the parish and across the motorway to their main population centre. They fucked up badly selling the original grounds.
Shannon has two secondary schools that I believe didn’t field any hurling teams for the last number of years but do have some this season. Chronic mismanagement of hurling in general. At club level have been struggling to field at anything other than C grade for a decade now. They have circled the wagons and set up underage structures across the club and schools, hired a GDO and look to have a future.
Clarecastle couldn’t get kicked hard enough. Only care about winning underage titles but have a very hostile club.
