Mayo’s bang averageness shone through in the last quarter and particularly the last five minutes of that game. They became a fouling machine, their football was cowardly and slow.
The consolation for them is they get Dublin in the round robin which means they can’t play Dublin in the quarter-finals or semi-finals. They’ll hardly be troubling the All-Ireland semi-finals this year though.
