They’d did some fanny about trying to get it up the field alright. He should have blown it up when the corner back turned around and passed it backwards after the kickout

There was a lot of time lost in injury time. He blew it up at the right time really. Mayo had too many lads who won’t shoot.

Are there quarter or semi finals, or do they juat go straight to the galway mayo game?
Twice in that game Mayo players refused to take on obvious point scoring opportunities, Calnan in the first half and Carney in the second. Not a good sign of a team. Every player on the pitch should be prepared to take on shooting responsibility when it arises. Buck passing is a cancer in a team.

They have a tough route through the group again.
They have Derry at home first up in 13 days time and then Armagh (probably) in the last game, same as last year.
Mayo are in with Dublin, Roscommon and Cavan. Cavan at home in 13 days’ time is a losable game for them.
Two poor teams for me.
Dubs v mayo in neutral venue. Hope the national stadium croke park is free - prob only place to accommodate the crowds. Prob be the biggest since Leinster championship in the 00’s when Dublin weren’t involved

I thought that was the highest quality match of the championship this year and by a nice distance.Galway likely to have more room for improvement than Mayo for the rest of the summer.

Cillian O Connor hasn’t had the ability to score from the 45 in at least 5 years. Then again at least he had a cut at it, O Donoghue and Tommy (no) Goals went missing
