2025 All Ireland Football Championship

Doengal will demand a change because when Donegal beat Kerry in 2012 the teams changed colours whereas when there was no change in 2014 Kerry won.

Donegal white jerseys/green shorts
Kerry blue jerseys/blue shorts

Two fine teams in my opinion. Galway’s window of opportunity with a figurehead like PJ was 2022-24’. They wouldn’t have beaten Kerry or Donegal this year with PJ at the helm.

Louth won Leinster. Meath beat Dublin, Kerry and Galway. Limerick reached a Tailteann Cup Final. Cavan beat Mayo. All underdogs.

A real you don’t belong here statement. Like Cork against Dublin last weekend. I did have a nagging doubt that Meath’s semi-final appearance could be as random as 2007 and 2009. Tommy Rooney did his best to hype them though.

Huh?

Youd have to think a fully fit Galway team would have had a good chance this year.Thems the breaks though.

Meath bet no one this year

Don’t mind him, he was asking only a few weeks ago what does the hooter mean in the new rules.

He’s some stook

No All-Irelands handed to Gaelic football players out on semi-final weekend. Except to Ethan Rafferty. He finally has his All-Ireland.

I was hoping for a Buff and Rory’s Stories preview night but that was wishful thinking

Who was the ex “Meat” fella on RTE on the pitch before the game “Meath are back” etc

Paul Shankey. Donegal flushed his county down the Armitage Shanks.

No they weren’t rubbish. What exactly do you want? More derry kerry like bores from last year.

Bar 20 minutes in Galway v Meath they were.

Its cheap and gimmicky. Like 20/20 Cricket or Sevens Rugby. It appeals to the TikTok generation I suppose.

Today was a total joke watching Meath try and fail with a load of hail mary two pointer efforts with as much intensity as a Challenge Game. Donegal happy enough to let them at it.

Kerry v Derry 2024 was poor but the corresponding fixture in 2023 was a cracker. Imagine FIFA ripping up the rules on the back of a 0-0 World Cup Semi Final :flushed:

This same group got knocked out by Down in the first round of Ulster the year before he came in witnessed by approx 300 Donegal supporters, and an approximate 50 fans at one of the final games if not the last game before being dumped out. They were brutal. Same chaps. Nobody taking responsibility. No leadership on the pitch.
The only reason we are where are is Jim. Not Murphy, not anyone else. Just Jim. Everyone in the county would happily give him a Kim Jong Un type lifetime dictatorship over the county footballers. We’re already dreading his departure, but our only hope in addition to a third all ireland, is that he mentors his successors, a pile of them. He wrote in his autobiography of a quote from Captain Scott when quizzed on his Antarctic expedition.
‘Hire men of character and teach them the skills’.
We’re hoping that the likes of Lacey, Kavanagh, Murphy is taken into the backroom team for sufficient upskilling before he rides off into the sunset again.
It was an obscene final score, Menton going off along with the first goal was really a big killer. Kerry would have annihilated us and been out the gate in that first half. Probably for the best. Patton is half-wizard, half-liability. Poor mistakes out the field. Meath collapsed early, but at least it was an opportunity to practice keeping our foot on the throat for a team who were always guilty of letting teams back in after building a lead. A few lads had below par aul performances too. McHugh, Thompson, Patton. Time for everyone to show up and be an absolute cunt in two weeks.
Murphy’s tackling a mess, but doubt he’s going to be taught it at this stage of the game.
Meath supporters were a tiny bit spikey, but nothing like the atypical Mayo cunt-man supporter.

It’s the way the world is gone now. The TikTok snowflake generation have the attention span of a flea.

Meath weren’t there, it was there to see, but I didn’t think Donegal had the foot to keep on the throttle in such a manner, more fool I. If any country loves the throttle, it’s Donegal.

Kerry won’t like seeing Donegal coming, but they knew all year this was how it would go.

McGuinness is incredible.
