Undoubtedly the two best teams in the country. I backed Donegal at the outset of the year because itâs Jim and everything so far has almost been a carbon copy of his first tenure. But Iâm very undecided for this one. It should be a great game. Far better than 2014.

Galway was the only team I felt could come between the talent in Kerry and the set up in Donegal. I reckon had the baysht been fit and had Shane not fluted around traveling up and down to play club football in Dublin theyâd have done it too.

I didnât see that coming. I was afraid of Meathâs confidence and refusal to accept defeat in matches that they were behind in. Look, Iâd say that dressing room was aiming for promotion for Div 2 this year, and doubt their training was tailored to be peaking this time of year.
Stars-wise, Kerry trump us. But on the sideline is where our real ace lies. Jim has two weeks to engineer a tactical ambush, and weâve seen it in 2014. He has the ability to formulate a plan, but the question lies with whether this current squad will be able to execute it to the letter.
The plus is Caolan McGonagle coming in and him running well. Thatâs a clean bill of health for the squad. We got a super clean run injury wise the last all-ireland we won. The planets have aligned in that sense.

2020 was the worst ever or are we not counting covid? Cavan and Tipp qualified through the old system and were way in over their head.
2018 and 2019 were fairly awful too now that I think of it
I wonder who Donegal will get to blackguard the current GOAT this year the same way Kerry got Aidan OâMahony to blackguard the GOAT of 2014 in that final.
