2025 All Ireland Football Championship

4-20 to 0-18. If Clare hadn’t conceded four goals there would be only two points in it.

Things I learned today: If a defender gets a faint touch on a shot from outside the two point arc and it goes over the bar, it only counts as one point.

If a Colm Coyle/PJ Gillic style bouncer is launched in from 60 yards and it lands 10 yards from goal and bounces over the bar without being touched, is that two points?

The Cliff with another motm. He must have a fine big mantelpiece

He’s completely destroyed the people who say he doesn’t do it on the big occasions with that performance there today.

I didn’t watch any of it bar about 85 seconds.

His second ever championship father.

Yeah that happened in a football match I played recently. A hopeful punt to the full forward that evaded him but bounced over the bar. Heard after the match that the ref awarded it as a two pointer. A bit ridiculous.

It seems a bit ludicrous that that’s a two pointer and yet a shot like that one the Clare lad did where the Kerry lad got a finger on it but it still went straight over is only a one pointer.

Any team that lets a ball bounce over their crossbar should probably be made forfeit the game rather than have it counted as just 2 points.

Some full-back you turned out to be

Their keeper made some hames of it to allow it bounce over. Shades of that equaliser in the 1996 final. Minus the plastic bag blowing across the pitch.

No surprise to see the two Ulster lads chip in to express their fury that a team wouldn’t have 12 men inside the arc.

Mouthwatering.

Nothing like a Kerry v Roscommon clash in Killarney to whet the appetite. Talk about glamour.

That’s a decent pipe band

They’ve ripped up almost every single thing that was good about the GAA, all in the name of this sort of progress.

Lee Keegan reckons there’s always some “shit horsery “ going on between Galway and mayo

You’ve mentally confused the Coyle point with the Tommy Dowd goal in the replay which was the plastic bag goal.

Coyle’s point was on a beautiful day with the September air with an ultra-perky bounce off the turf.

All-Ireland football final replays should always be played in early winter conditions.

An absolute shambles.

The zombie zone zealots must have a wry smile when they see that.

Galway wind first half. Galway half time mayo full time 17/2 if you fancy them.
