2025 All Ireland Football Championship

The world needs another Galway Armagh tie

It does and tradition dictates another famous Armagh factual/moral victory via draw

That lack of an Ulster will gnaw at McGeeney

While they’re current champions I’ve a gut feeling that today’s reversal will knock the stuffing out of their summer. Granted they’ll be hard to beat but you’d wonder have they the hunger or desire to grind it out for another 8/10 weeks.
Personally I wouldn’t be pining for them were they to bow out in the round robin series. Conversely I’d imagine the result today and the nature of the contest will probably galvanise Jimmy’s troops.
They’re far from the finished article and carrying a few lesser luminaries than you’d hope for, but they’ll be hard bet as the saying goes.

He has a right few things gnawing at him you’d imagine. How does he remain so sullen looking for 2 hours. A mirthless individual I’d say.

Galway and armagh to come out of their group and donegal and tyrone out of the other. There will be no group of death

Same with Lohan and Munster. They’ve been so unlucky losing two finals on penalties and another by a point after extra-time. But you trade them all in for an All-Ireland.

If they put Rian back in there, they’re a very dangerous animal. A nasty prospect.

2 quality teams. Armagh have fair depth. Donegal maybe less so, but both will get to the semis at least I’d say.
Ulster final day looks one for the bucket list

Binky gets it

Yea but where they come in the group is a fairly big deal I think? Week off if you top it and home preliminary if you come 2nd.

Dublin and derry kicking the shit out of each other for the europa league drop down place

Shame donegal fluked that today. Id have famcied us to turn them over in ballybofey

I think teams and fans are going to cop just every match in the group stage matters. And then it’ll be gone next year

If you haven’t been, go once before you die. But you won’t get many greater than today’s.

See that wall at the back of those trees, in front of those houses? That’s where the back of the old Hill (last day July 18th 1993) was. Did I ever tell anybody I was there that day? I was up towards the back too

You made the bus so. Good stuff. How was it getting out of there? Supposed to be the hard part.

I went out for a smoke at half time, and there is a wall at the back of the hill terrace with a grassy, sloped patch behind it. There lay an armagh fan, comatose and covered in his own vomit. The cops were busy frogmarching Armagh youths out of the stand all throughout the match. However, they were a small minority.

Harder than normal because of the late ending. Clones is normally a ghost town by 8pm on Ulster final evening. I still made the 945pm bus from Monaghan, with about five minutes to spare. So instead of looking for a nightclub in Monaghan Town to while away the time before the 255am bus, I’m having a nightcap in the Palace.

Unfortunately people have started singing Grace so I’ll have to get my gun out and shoot them.
