Roscommon are a bit gutless all things told.
You’d have to be impressed with the way the much maligned (on TFK) Gabriel Bannigan has gone about his business with Monaghan.
Has them playing a lovely brand of sexy football.
Champagne and cider football from the Farney men.
Began back kicking for love
Wexford have a great tradition of shaper keepers
These 2 teams need to be a small bit like each other for ultimate success
Parma needed that to go over
Ben O’Carroll has kicked 2 woejus wides.
100%. You wouldn’t have found too many smiling in Monaghan after the prolonged hunt for a new manager ended at his doorstep. Andy Moran looks to have had a big impact on these forwards.
“Lads, if I can do it you can do it”
Ben O’ Carroll hasn’t kicked on from that virtuoso performance against The Watty’s in the club final last year. He’s kicked some poor wides since coming on here. I don’t know what to make of Davy Burke’s managerial record.
That was a bad oul defeat for the Rassies.
Look stale and completely out of ideas, I don’t expect a kick come championship this time around, new voice required in management.
They fizzled out badly. Very sloppy with the passing and by the looks of them they signed out after McCarron’s goal. Some poor shooting and decision making didn’t help their cause.
Both Galway and Roscommon started the league on fire but fell off the last few games. Roscommon probably moreso than Galway. Will be interesting to see who can get out of the slump before they meet each other in a few weeks.

Captain is a Bannigan also. son of manager?
well done Monaghan .
They were fairly brutal inside the 45, but some beautiful fielding from them. Some day a team will realise that high fielders can work in close to goal as well.
Bannigan walked with Kilmacud so Baggio could run.
The true connoisseurs of the game knew of Gabby’s managerial abilities way back when.

Nephew
The new rules don’t really do much to improve it as a spectacle at that level. Or maybe it’s just that this level isn’t a great spectacle in the first place
Have to respectfully disagree with you here. The new rules have brought much more excitement and encourage teams to attack and score. The cynicism in the game is much reduced, it’s way faster now.
Under the old rules Limerick would have had 15 men back for that last attack and Wexford would still be passing it around as I type to work an opening. The two pointer adds a bit of drama to things, there’ll probably be big knock out championship games this summer where teams will save themselves by kicking a two pointer after the hooter (the hooter is something I’d get rid of though).
Haven’t seen any Div 4 this year but been at a shot of Div 3 games and it’s actually a way more watchable and enjoyable game. Tends to be end to end when it’s two evenly matched teams, the niggly stuff has been removed overnight thanks to the 50m advancement.
Looking forward to Croker tomorrow.
