2025 Irish Presidential Election

Michael Flatley.

He’s from Fethard.

Some unnamed politicians reckon he’d be unbeatable no matter what party he hitches his support to. They’ve obviously never read TFK. If TFK could start a movement to get Peter Casey up to 21% of the vote then we could take down Duffy campaign as well.

They really cannot read the room if they think Duffy won’t be embarrassed in this campaign

I’d say he’d win it comfortably.

Joe is out.

A whirlwind campaign

Pather Thowbeen was burbling yesterday about having a candidate loosely in mind to represent his and assorted like-minded parties with the great unveil being around next weekend.

I have no idea who he’s envisioning if anyone. Peter Casey I suppose would welcome a run.

Thowbeen in an interminable pain in the hole.

Duffy would have been a great replacement for Miggledy when it comes to having one’s snout in the trough

Michael D is as wide as he is tall at this stage, Joe wouldn’t survive it but with the current calibre of interested parties he’ll walk it, I don’t think he has any skeletons, does he?

By hook or crook we’re going to end up with an awful Telpis in the Áras.

He’s an RTE employee, more than likely.

If they could come up with a semi presentable candidate and there was 4 or 5 Mary hanafin establishment types against him theyll come close to winning it id say.

No one saw the Mary’s coming. There’ll be a left field candidate or two yet.

Sinn Fein need to get some practically saintly fellow like Paul McGrath to stand for them, who’d likely be a total shoe-in, and every FF/FG candidate who’d try and make a cunt of him during a debate would give a flavour of cunt to their party hopefully as long as the next election with the amnestic Irish voters. It would probably begrudgingly hamstring any purportedly and unbiased RTE employees hitting them below the belt whilst setting up a few lovely tap-ins for the FF/G candidates as they know who pays their rent, and grossly overinflated salaries.
Paul for President. Ooooh Ahhh…

It’ll be some crack when he finds Michael’s 20 year old stash down the back of that big desk.

It’d have to be Connemara poitín, knowing Miggledy.

Well, hello Mary-Lou.

Thowbeen’s selection - not a chance. He’s possibly aligning himself with PBP and other raggle-taggle mouthpieces in some form of left alliance. Personally I don’t see them actually contesting the election, they’ll stand on the sidelines spitting on their hands (Rory Gallagher) and add fuck all.
