2025 Summer Transfer Window

Isn’t not out of the Coutinho money?

It’s the Tyler Morton/ Quansah/ Diaz combo money that’ll pay for Isak.

The last of the Coutinho money went on Ekitike

Won the league with the Bobby Clark money last year

I started the window dismissing the idea of selling Isak. Brilliant striker with a likelihood of 20+ goals a season injury free with a decent service given he has come to terms with English football.

The more I consider it however the greater my appetite. Newcastle need to build out a squad. Fuck all was done on underage for decades and when you have the likes of Hayden and Lewis still on the books the development efforts are stark.

PSR and the bolloxology with commercialising the club since the mid 90s have also severally limited options. We sold two reasonable players last year, of which Anderson had a good season at Forest, due to headwinds from missing out on European football and notwithstanding the success in achieving it this season we’re back where we started if we struggled in 25/26. We dont have the squad for Europe and domestic season. Qualifying for the knockout stages is the only aim we can strive for.

But Id be willing to let Isak go for 150mln tomorrow. Spend it on a decent centre half and striker and we’ve almost broken even with dramatically less pressures in 26.

@StoneCold becuase its about the north east magpies it cant go in the footix thread

Where best?

No it’s footix as fuck following the Tyneside Pinstripes. I can’t remember much posting from this @BeTimberin guy when the sectarian Graeme Souness was managing them.

It’s mad money, Newcastle be mad not to take anything over €100m

They can get 130-150. But to your point take it and you have a lot of room with PSR and probably solve 2 or 3 problems with it.

It’ll all depend on wrapping up Sesko. If this gors through they’ll secure Wissa and a central defender by the deadline I suspect.

Darwin to Al Hilal. The transfer that will signal the end for football. It was beautiful up to now, but this, this, this ends it all.

Farewell sweet Prince. You should have changed everything.

Newcastle crying put for a striker. They could have done worse than Nunez.

A lot worse, but Liverpool are being smart here, they know that Darwin is a generational player and will not sell to a rival.

Arsenal should move for him. He can play from the left as well. Spurs, Newcastle, Villa, Manchester United should all be in for him. He’s going to start taking those chances, he’s a human wrecking ball.

Newcastle could do an awful lot worse than take him plus cash. He’s 3 years younger than Wissa and has a much higher ceiling. He’s nowhere near as bad as portrayed.

I find it comical that fellas think he’s shit. He’s just raw. I’d say he is a nightmare to mark for any centre back. I’ve rarely seen him play a game where he doesn’t have a couple of significant chances.

He would be a great fit for those mad bastards

He’s a striker who can’t hit a barn door. Surprised you’d find that comical tbh

The two seasons under Klopp he scored 14 and 18 goals in all comps. He has plenty of faults and it’s understandable why Slot doesn’t fancy him but he could actually flourish away from the spotlight as a consistent starter. I’d be afraid he could be another Diego Forlan if he leaves.

What do you mean he’s raw? He’s 26 years old, he’s not going to improve at this stage.

Diego Forlan left Man United at 25 and improved massively. It’s all there for him bar composure in the final third. I’d say the fact that he always knew the curly finger would come if he missed a few chances didn’t help. He needs to be top dog.
