Defending Champion and World #1 Luke Littler begins his title defence tonight vs Darius Labanauskas. Darius is no stranger to the Ally Pally stage. He got a run to the QF in 2020 and hit a 9 darter in 2022. He earned his place through the Nordic Qualifier and finished 2nd on the Challenge Tour this year to get back on the Pro Tour in 2026 after dropping off at the end of 2023. Darius can be a tricky player and won’t be drawn into the pace set by Littler. He’ll be doing his best to upset him.
Those who are taking on Littler (myself included) are hoping he’ll be caught in the early rounds. He can be a bit of a slow starter and if Darius is on it he could make it some bit interesting.
With that being said I think there is value in taking Labanausakas +2.5 sets @ 9/2 / Over 3.5 sets @ 5/1. (With the over 3.5 set the bet is a loser if Darius won 3-0

I turned that match on with Smith leading 2 sets to 1 and 2 legs to 0.
Even then I could see the collapse coming. Smith is player I’d never trust to hit a winning dart and I immediately liked the cut of the Swede’s jib.
Do sky make some of these guys come out for their walk on with some kind of gimmick or do the darts players choose to do it themselves… Damon heta coming out with a some kind of head garb in the shape of a fire dancing like a buffoon whilst his opponent Lennon came out to very little fanfare
