126 is way too many.

128 is worse again!

They seem intent on ruining it like every other sport with way too many games.

64 qualifiers would be grand. Start it on the 18th/19th

Less is more.

The prize fund has doubled from 2.5 million to 5 million.

The winner gets a million.

The extra sessions will put a dent on that increase.

By the time the qualrters come around I’m all darted out and they are the best matches.

I’m think the snooker model would be no harm. Guarantee 16-32 into the later rounds.

Darts fatigue could become a real issue. And I suspect the games in that first week could be dire and not television standard.

Likewise, I love that mid afternoon session of Quarter Finals on NYD. Flicking over to the racing from Cheltenham in between.

Of course once upon a time I’d have been in Paidi O’Se’s pub that day, but I’m gone past that now unfortunately.

It’s cracking. Anderson and Van Gerwen played a dinger back in 2013 Championship.

Love darts but the first week even 10 days is borderline unwatchable.

No craic in backing Littler at evens  He’ll be the shortest favorite for the Worlds since MVG in 2018 when he went off around 8/11 / 4/5. Cross bate him in the Semi Final that year.

Will be a few upsets in the 1st round. Some tricky draws for the seeded players.

Landed on this.

I think MVG is decent each way value. Always ups it for Worlds and on decent side of the draw.

He’s fired up.

A lot of these lads are WDF standard tbf and would have done well to win that final last Sunday

Lads are too used to seeing Littler and co hitting ton+ averages.

No harm in seeing two dartists do battle in the high 80s / low 90 averages :joy:

I think MVG is finished as a top, top Worlds contender. He lost the glint in the eye he had when he was dominating Ally Pally and snorting lines afterwards.
