He didn’t go while he was in the LoI. His international career was over by the time he played here. Like Bobby Charlton.

At least one of Nigeria and/or Cameroon will be eliminated from the World Cup by Sunday.

Four African teams who finished second in their qualifying groups are competing in a play-off pathway between today and Sunday.

These one leg knockout games are all being played in neutral Morocco.

Semi-finals of this play-off pathway are today:
Nigeria v Gabon (4pm)
Cameroon v DR Congo (7pm)

Final is on Sunday.

However the winner of the final doesn’t gain automatic qualification for the World Cup, but will go to an inter-confederation play-off in March which will apparently take place in Mexico.

Alex Iwobi aint happy

Nigeria 4-1 up in extra-time and they will advance to the next game.

Gabon had equalised with a goal after 89 minutes.
