A new low for Israel. How low can they go?

actaully ive documented the mess in the international elections thread previously

What are the oppositions prospects?

It’s fixed he’ll get in.

0 i think blake
there is this party called kahol v lavan ( blue and white) that was founded by Beny Gantz who was the Army leader (ramat ka’al) during Gaza in 2014, he is meant represent a form of ceneterist , secular, middle class Fine Gael style politics - he refuses to go into governemnnt with Likud and the ultra right and even combined with Labour and Mer’etz ( the extreme left) he cannot form a majority…
The president wanted Gantz’s party and Netanyahu’s likud to settle their differences and form a government but they both despise each other from what i see…

In israel the working class vote likud- it would be the SF vote here or PBP- we call that leftist in ireland - in israel these people are by and large poor, work shite jobs and are united by their hatred of arabs- they are all descended from north africa, kurdistan and then you also have a huge russian vote who are only associated to this group by their hatred of arabs and the continual war…

sane people in the middle who pay tax and work want the whole thing to stop -

the arabs dont vote as they dont recognise the election - and it is 20% of the population of blue ID card citizens - if they did you could see a very strong meretz, arab coalition that labour may be interested in,

in short a mess

its not ( well we could go on all night) but thats unproven
but, whatever party leader who can form a majority gets in, at the moment none of them can- hence the reelection and hence why Netanyahu is courting all the ultra right parties as he needs the numbers

The most unstable place in worlds history is Jerusalem. Whatever show they are putting on infront of you please don’t but in to it.

Weird how all these “Friends of Israel” groups tolerate anti-Semitism to such an extent

Can you maybe explain the “thinking” here, @anon7035031, since this sort of stuff is straight out of your playbook

Crazy world

It’s a bit like the old Belfast joke but not quite

Are you an anti-Semite who supports Israel or an anti-racist who supports Palestine

They like the former but hate the latter

Lived there for a few months ,not for me at all - mid 80s, TBH if anything the IDF are worse than ever, Israeli government afraid of the settlers etc ,it’s a whole mish mash of wrong doing from all sides/ quarters ,lot of innocent Palestinian ppl ( civilians) stuck in the middle

Israel does not want peace and never has, they want the erasure of Palestine and the Palestinian people from history

Without doubt, and always propped up via us government, time I was there, every ambulance/ school bus etc donated by such n such USA,printed back and front of the vehicles, wish we had such friends

How can I protect you

“The most moral army in the world”

And if you object to them shooting an unarmed civilian in the back you’re an anti-Semite

I see they call them Sponge-Bullets as opposed to the harsher sounded rubber bullets

Sponge Bob square pants bullets their called. They have a range of around 30 meters and will put down any pallas man within that range.

What a guy Israel’s new Defence Minister is

Israel’s Education Minister Naftali Bennett said yesterday that he would impose a “shoot to kill” policy in Gaza, including against Palestinian children.

Bennett made the comment on Israel’s Army Radio after he was asked what he would do differently if he were the defence minister. Bennett replied:

Everything. I would not allow terrorists to cross the border from Gaza every day… and if they do, we should shoot to kill. Terrorists from Gaza should not enter Israel… Just as in Lebanon, Syria or anywhere else we should shoot to kill.

Bennett was then asked if he would also instruct the Israeli army to adopt a shoot to kill policy against Palestinian children, to which he replied: “They are not children — they are terrorists. We are fooling ourselves,” the Times of Israel reported.

Do they not already have a policy to shoot to kill children?

Can I call Netanyahu corrupt or would that be anti-Semitic @anon7035031? (sorry to tag you again, but this question needs to be asked - it’s just that reading Dickens is now apparently anti-Semitic, so it’s hard to know where one stands these days as regards what’s acceptable and what’s not)

You can certainly say that Netanyahu has been charged with corruption and that is not anti-Semitic.

Glad to be of help.
