What sort of attack?
Thanks, I actually thought it was going to be bows and arrows.
Nuclear facilities were targeted

NATO is just a mutual defence and cooperation treaty/organisation made up of north American and European countries.
Sky News reporting that Israel took out some air defense systems in Syria and Iraq so their air force could make it their targets in Iran.
My Mam likes Alan Shatter. She thinks heās a nice, respectable gentleman. She thinks he comes across as very reasonable and makes good points. I try to tell her heās a fanatical, genocide loving maniac, and she accepts this and says thatās terrible. Then later on she expresses her liking for that nice, respectable gentleman Alan Shatter.
My Mam also has a history of liking John Waters and David Quinn.
Propaganda works, people.
The notion that Trump could be anything other than a total disaster for Palestinians is obviously ludicrous.
Patrick Henningsen however is one of the people I describe here. Heās a pure Russia propagandist who lures people into his Putinist/Assadist worldview by seeming ācompassionateā about Palestine. Heās a fucking cunt.
He said the silent part out loud

I presume they took the jewish fella out and shot him.
Oh wait, I apologise. That should make it ok.
Israel has outlawed UNRWA, the UN agency that provides support and education and basic services to Palestinians.
Obviously outlawing a UN agency - set up by the international community - is pretty extreme. Even the US has criticized this.
Israel denies the rights of any Palestinians to return to lands theyāve been driven off of, and denies that Palestinians are or should be be recognized as refugees even as it refuses them the right to return, the right to set up their own state, or the right to Israeli citizenship.
This is a really extreme view. Itās a view that featured in an Irish times video purporting to explain antisemitism, which is a fucking joke.
Israel has instead lobbied Western states to eliminate UNRWA in an effort to sabotage the right of return for stateless Palestinian refugees
Are the charges against the head of the ICC conveniently fabricatedā¦
I see Sacha Baron Cohen was on the Jimmy Fallon show the other night on whatever American TV station shows that programme.
He appeared as the Borat character. It was about as funny as being diagnosed with lung fibrosis. It was like if Bernard Manning suddenly appeared and started vilifying āchinksā, āwogsā and "n****rs.
What would the reaction would be if there was a parody character of a Jew with a hooked nose and an obsession with money, played by a non-Jew, which appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show?
Baron Cohen claims to be (and Iām sure genuinely is, understandably so) concerned about anti-Semitism - though I suspect he deliberately confuses a lot of non anti-Semitic, justified outrage against Israel with anti-Semitism. He says that Tik Tok has created the biggest movement of anti-Semitism since the Nazis - I wouldnāt disagree that social media in general has led to a massive rise in anti-Semitism - and if I were a Jew in Europe I think I would feel frightened. As I would if I were a Muslim. Because there are very bad people out there.
Anyway - Baron Cohen sees fit to play a character which is a naked ethnic stereotype. The character makes fun of the people of Kazakhstan without equivocation. It portrays them as stupid, backward, moronic, hate filled, to be made fun of without equivocation. There isnāt any political angle. Itās just straight up racist stereotyping.
What would his reaction be if that stereotyped character ridiculing Jews was to air on prime time US TV?
Does Baron Cohen, whose public persona is that of a broad liberal (he opposes Trump, was sensible on the pandemic etc.) see the double standard? Does his writing partner Lee Kern, who is a fanatical propagandist for Israel and its genocide, see the double standard?
Do they address it? David Baddiel, who wrote the book āJews Donāt Countā about anti-Semitism in Britain, faced a similar double standard because he made fun of the black footballer Jason Lee in a way that was clearly racist and while his addressing of that double standard has never been entirely convincing in that to my knowledge heās never fully accepted the racism of those sketches, he at least acknowledged a regret over them.
But Baron Cohen and his writing partner Kern to my knowledge have never addressed a double standard and indeed continue to very publicly indulge it. And theyāre oblivious to the double standard where they pursue a form of stereotyping they would not tolerate if made about themselves by a non-Jew.
Anyway, thanks for reading the first and last lines.
āConcernedā
US says it is concerned by āhorrifying incidentā where ātwo dozen children killedā in Israeli strike in north Gaza residential block
The US is ādeeply concerned by the loss of civilian lifeā in an Israeli strike on a residential building in northern Gaza that killed at least 93 people, including a large number of children, a US state department spokesperson has said.
As we reported earlier, at least 93 Palestinians were killed or missing and dozens wounded in the attack on a building in Beit Lahiya on Tuesday, according to Gazaās health ministry. Among the dead were at least 20 children, medics said.
Al Jazeera is reporting that 109 people were killed by the Israeli strike on the five-story building housing displaced families.
US state department spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters:
We are deeply concerned by the loss of civilian life in this incident. This was a horrifying incident with a horrifying result.
He said he could not speak to the total death toll, but noted:
There are reports of two dozen children killed in this incident. No doubt a number of them are children who have been fleeing the effects of this war for more than a year now.
US officials have reached out to Israelās government āto ask what happened hereā, he added.
