The list of that sort of genocidal stuff is as long as your arm. It’s the ruling ideology on which the idea of Israel is indivisible from.

The idea of a Jewish state is inherently supremacist and it is inherently colonial. Of course after the Holocaust nobody could refuse the idea because of what had happened. The Holocaust is not just moral blackmail but is now used as the actual pretext to commit another holocaust against a different group of people.

The rationale is: “The Holocaust happened, Jews were exterminated, and now it’s OUR turn to perpetrate holocaust against somebody else as revenge and we’re bloody well going to take it!”

All this is blindingly obvious and everybody in any position of power in the west knows it full well but precisely none of them - even in the countries like Ireland and Spain and Norway which have taken somewhat of a morally defensible position, will say it.

This is not just in the Netanyahu era. It was there from the start of Israel and Zionism but obviously after the Holocaust this genocidal ideology was given absolute carte blanche.

The automatic logic of it is there are no innocent PUL civilians in the North either. You could extend this to any conflict in the world where there are historic territorial disputes. It’s explicitly the language of dehumanisation, of genocide. Tragically it’s also what a not insignificant amount of Israelis, including the headbangers in the Israeli government, believe about Palestinians.

This is going to get real bad, real fast.

My back of a fag packet calculation is that if Israel goes in on the ground, they may well be drawn into a battle where they have to pretty much commit to ending Gaza as we know it - to drive the majority of the entire population out in a massive and bloody ethnic cleansing/genocide - Mariupol style. Anything less makes little sense for them on a practical level.

The West has decided that a genocide shall go ahead unimpeded and this will lead to the end of the West, as right wing, pro-Putin demagogues come to power across Europe as populations entirely lose faith in parties on the spectrum from old left to centre right, and formerly centre right parties drift irrevocably towards the far right.

You can already see how the Labour party and the Democratic party in the US are going to split apart at the seams.

Labour might still have enough to get in next time with soft Tories deserting them but it’ll be a one term deal only and they’ll be out of power for another 20 years after that amid a party civil war and the collapse of grass roots organisation.

Gaza does not fit the criteria.

Don’t the Israeli Nazis effectively block sea access to Gaze also? I remember watching a Simon Reeve documentary where he was in Gaza and he interviewed fishermen. The Israeli Nazi navy patrol the coast and shoot at anything which is more than a few hundred meters from the coast. This was a few years back and even then they wouldn’t let them out far enough to catch fish.

Why Hamas?
It seems to me they are the equivalent of Sinn Fein a couple of decades ago. Far from all being terrorists, more a political party encompassing republicans, many of whom were ballot box and not armalite, some of whom were both, and some armalite only.
