Yes and there are influencers also being paid or honeytrapped by Israel also. That is part and parcel of modern propaganda.
There are also plenty of volunteers who have been espousing the Palestinian cause for years, when there was little fame or attention to be got from it.
Regarding the Student union; drawing attention the goings on in Gaza and the West Bank has been a cause of left wing politics in this country long before the current impasse.
One thing our government has been consistent on is the rights of Palestinians and is one thing Iād applaud them for, being one of the few countries that have spoken up. But maybe they should just ignore it altogether focus on one issue at a time.
