Almost all the killing was over two days, January 8-9. The 36,500 number came from Intelligence sources in Iran. Itâs not even slightly surprising, the Iranian regime has crushed every peaceful protest in the same manner, this one was just much bigger than 2019 and 2022 and countrywide. Who knows whatâs going to happen next but if the regime could be decapitated the military leadership could quickly switch sides. It wonât be as easy as Venezuela though.
