A thread to Congratulate Galway 2017 AISHC

Poor ould Micko. Drove us to school back in the day, a massive hurling man.

Cant believe thereā€™s only 81 posts in this thread so far. The jealousy is sickening.

The pride of it, the glory of it.

Iā€™ll never see it, yer lucky bastards.

Iā€™ve seen equal emotion displayed in club wins. Itā€™s what makes the GAA the beautiful being it is.

They showed a class video in the Stadium tonight made by Darren Frehill, at the request of Micheal Donoghue, compassing the great moments in Galways hurling history. Iā€™m (unreliably) told itā€™s the last thing the lads saw yesterday before they ran out on to the hallowed turf

Darren Freeeeeeeeehill is a Daughter fan.

Darren may not have pulled the trigger on that I suspect

Joe McDonagh for the finish is just plain wonderful. A great Gael he was.

That was a lovely moment. Very much look forward to Ger Gilroy saying ā€œTell us what you were feeling in that momentā€ to Micheal in the days to come.

Or ā€œSometimes a photo can really sum up a feeling. I remember reading a book about the Denver Broncos team in the 90ā€™s about a team that never could quite get over the lineā€¦drone drone droneā€¦an almost paradoxical metamorphosis from the subconscious etherā€¦drone drone droneā€¦really sums up the umbilical chord between a sports team and their supportersā€¦drone drone droneā€¦tell us what you were feeling in that moment.ā€
