Aberdeen v Celtic ☘

Bitton starts instead of Rogic.

Would have started Scales

Kkkyyyooooogggoooo

See this out to fuck

Fuck sake

2-1 Celtic

Thank God for that.

Still not good though.

Lovely second goal but bombscare at the back. Aberdeen were awful.

First away win since February.

A corner turned.

It didn’t matter how they won, as long as they won.

Need to drive on after the international break and stack up the wins.

Celtic Celtic Celtic.

Ange looked awkward enough there. We’ll hardly make an emoji for him. :ronnyroar:

Missed the game yesterday. Vital 3 points. How did Bitton do in midfield?

Hopefully the injury list will have cleared up after the international break.

The Huns are really struggling at present but the SFA are doing their dirty work as usual.

It wasn’t a great performance. Aberdeen were really poor, though it’s always possible that Celtic made them look bad, but they still looked like creating chances when they did get forward, which was actually rare. To give you an example, in the 93rd minute, they were a goal down, had the ball out wide ready to cross, and there was one Aberdeen player in the Celtic box. They slightly delayed the cross until a second player arrived, and still had us (me) worried.
Our second goal was a lovely piece of football, but we look like getting turned over again a few times this season. We badly need everyone fit as a minimum.
It was an away win, but Aberdeen were as bad as I can ever remember.

Aberdeen have been utter dogshit since the mid 90s . They were relegated in this period .

I know, but they’re usually hard enough to beat at home. They were absolutely dire yesterday, or certainly looked absolutely dire to me. I’m no expert, and I only watch them if they are playing Celtic or Rangers on telly, which before the advent of sptv was rare enough, but they struggled to get the ball past halfway whilst a goal down at home with 5 mins left.
The huns have often struggled against them because they despise them with a passion.

Midfield is our biggest are for concern now. Turnbull and Rogic haven’t done it, McCarthy has been poor and Ange doesn’t trust Soro. Recalling Bitton really says it all about the problems we have here.

Bitton might be the best option here now for the time being, I think it has to be either/or between Turnbull or Rogic, there’s not enough legs to play both of them in the same time.

If our January business was solely 2 central midfielders then it would not be too bad. We need dynamic, energetic ball players in there and we’ve only really got McGregor in that mode in our squad.

I watched the highlights there, Hart looked a bombscare, nearly flapped one into his own net but the bar came to his rescue and should have dealt with the goal.

Hopefully the injury problems will clear over the international break.

We currently have the following players out:

Jullien
Juranovic
Taylor
Forrest
Johnston
Dembele

Giakoumakis will hopefully use the international break to get his sharpness back.

A front line of Abada, Kyogo, Jota looks very promising and once we get the likes of Johnston, Forrest and Giakoumakis fit then we should have decent options to come in and competition there for players to be delivering.
