I know semi finals are for winning and obviously from a Celtic point of view it’s good to win but my god are they a terrible team. Weakest mentality I’ve seen in a long time.

Yeah Phillips is an alright sort. But Celtic took much the better penalties really.

Bring in Bernardo or Iwata & let McGregor or Hatate play some kind of free role. It’d be a bit lopsided but hardly worse than today. Other option is to start Idah & play Kyogo in a wide attacker role.

I’d give kyogo the free role . He can really pick a pass

As bad as Scales was for goals he was still the better of the centre halves . CCV was very poor and jittery

Would make you realise the league is still all to play for. That left side of defence is scary in particular.

I didn’t think he was great when he had that spell playing behind Idah in a free central role. Hard to know what to do. I just think teams will completely target that left side if it’s Scales & Taylor with Yang in front of them.

Scales, Taylor, Yang/Palma is nightmare fuel. Der Hun you can be sure will target them all at CO in a few weeks.

I think Palma will have to play. He’s no better at defending than Yang but I thought he kept Tavernier occupied in the December game and he does keep taking on his man which is what Tavernier hates.

But it’s weak from back to front on that side. And I don’t see why we keep reverting to Scales.

He’s had a massive season by his standards and where he was this time last year . Celtic on the other hand have had a poor season by their standards
Don’t think it’s a coincidence that his ex teammates from last year targeted him today either

PFA Team of the Year was announced this morning or last night.

Scales and Carter-Vickers the centre backs.

CCV has missed large chunks of the season with various injuries & Scales performed very well up to Christmas but has been average bordering on poor throughout the second half of the season. Two fairly odd selections. Think McGregor was chosen too & he’s been fairly average all season. O’Riley was the other Celtic selection & he was definitely deserving.
