Thatâs nonsensical stuff. I donât refuse to procreate. I refuse to kill.
Sheâd be a bad wife if she didnât have sex. What about âwith my body I honor youâ and all that?
Itâs easy to tell people not to have sex when you are a creepy loner who spends all of his time in his bedsit posting shite on an obscure forum and watching football matches on dodgy streams.
Normal people enjoy sex, and her condition wonât stop that lady from enjoying it.
Didnât really want to post in this thread today, tank i sympathise with your friend, surely with a threat to her health she should be allowed an abortion if she needed it, such a protection already exists arguably. But the rest of that post, and those since attacking ciceros personal life are pathetic, what one man does or does not want to do (though i suspect hes winding ye up) is his business. Stay on topic. Shocking graphic pictures put up by hbv earlier, maybe some of ye are lashing out now by realising what ye are voting for? Either way, no higher ground in playing the man here
You just see women as sex objects.
Misogynist.
Maybe people should put their enjoyment aside and think of the innocent parties their enjoyment impacts on. Yes voters have a sense of entitlement and are utterly selfish.
Mate, you come across as a complete nutter when you defend complete nutters. There is only one cohort of people who hold ciceroâs medieval views and want to impose them on others, and is it the duty of every rational person to oppose them. What could be more personal than calling people who make the difficult decision to terminate an early stage pregnancy âmurderersâ?
The irony in this post is off the charts. Youâre the hate-filled bigoted nutter here.
You have your opinion, you canât come across as high and mighty when you spent the past few posts attacking him personally and not his opinion.
You yourself agree that an unborn child should be protected from having its life cut short by abortion. You admitted so yesterday, as any rational human would. the only debate with you is dates and âviability.â the picture of a 12 week old foetus/child above is shocking, and far removed from a zygote or a clump of cells as ive seen unborn children described as. But each to their own.
Those days are gone Mike, youâd nearly be out casted if you wanted a family these days. Adopt or terminate theyâre the choices.
Youâd nearly be hiring the AI man rather then the photographer for the wedding.
If you donât approve of personal attacks then I suggest you are on the wrong forum.
His opinion is not worth debating, the fact you think it is outs you as a fellow traveler nutter. The opinion of individuals like him has been destroyed in every debate in Ireland in the last few decades, divorce, contraception, same sex marriage, and now abortion. The fact you continue to support his despicable views actually says you are a religious zealot, but in denial about it. Do you support his view that women who have early state abortions are murderers?
You describe all stages of pregnancy as a child or a baby, which is the language used by religious zealots, and those that have zero knowledge of biology. What is shocking about the images?, a fetus at 12 weeks feels nothing and there is zero difference between it and natural abortions at that stage, which outnumber elective abortions by a factor of 10:1. Are you equally outraged by all these natural abortions? and if not why not, the result is the same, a human life denied to millions.
What a rant.
You have nothing but your natural abortion rameis, ive already told you i dont support the church on this or any othwr position, but its the only argument you have so you keep repeating it. You, yourself, said unborn children have a right to protection. Thats what i believe, but you define this by a date that i donât. You hold the same view therefore as anti abortionists past a certain point but cant see that, or can, but its kind of inconvenient that you admitted it now. Habe a look at that rant in a few days, it does not read well
The abortionists are offended by a picture of an aborted baby.
You literally couldnt make that up.
You support the RC church position 100% on this, the view that from conception on human life has to be protected and has the same value as itâs mother. Thatâs whatâs in the Irish constitution that you support. An absolutely nonsensical position that only religious zealots can hold. Look around you at the people who share your view and use the same language as you.
Do you believe that a woman who takes an abortion pill at 5 weeks to terminate an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy is a murderer? Yes or no, answer the question.
Yes, I believe the life of a viable fetus should be protected, unless the life of itâs mother is endangered. Thereâs no moral dilemma for most rational people holding that opinion while allowing for early stage termination.
Itâs a lot more difficult to get hold of photos of adult corpses killed by the 8th amendment, even so I donât think anybody would bother
This is over now, youâre gonna have to get used to living in a slightly more civilised society in a few days
I think there is a lot of people voting yes for the same reason a lot of people are voting no. Itâs the twelve week thing. The "soft " yes side while not happy with it see it as the lesser of two evils. The âsoftâ no side feel it is too much of a concession.
I think it will get through. If it does so be it. We are after all living in a democracy. If itâs a no vote, it should not be the end of it as I totally agree that the so called âhard casesâ do need to be accommodated.
You have to draw the line somewhere though on elective abortion. The religious zealots want to draw it at day 1 and the militant feminists at day 280. Thankfully both are in a small minority and their views can be ignored. Personally I would draw the line (for Ireland) at 10 weeks which is the limit of when the pill can be used, and the impact on the woman is not a lot different to a natural miscarriage.
I hate the term âhard casesâ as it implies elective abortion is somehow an easy choice. As @caoimhaoin said, anyone who looks into the eyes of someone who is planning to have or just had an abortion would understand this. Itâs something most men can empathize with, especially if it is their partner or wife, but can never know what itâs like.
Its the indiscriminate abortion of healthy babies part that gets me. Reasons like having a one night stand, not being in right space for a baby, public perception or embarrassment, socio economic reasons are not valid reasons in my eyes. Termination of healthy babies up to 6 months on mental health grounds. Is there any study that confirms a woman with depression who gets an abortion is all of a sudden cured of depression. The whole thing is fucking bullshit.
For a lot of the women who got abortions over last how many years by going to UK Friday is like a catharsis for them. They want legislation there so they can retrospectively validate their actions and it might sate their guilt. Obviously there are the hard cases but hard cases make bad laws.
But hey we are all built differently, have different morals and outlooks. Many have become more individualistic and inward looking which is a pity. Its the untapped potential of life, the intangibles and not knowing for sure what could or may not have happened with the termination of a healthy BABY at 12 weeks. Its the cold callous nature of this which is why Iâll be voting no.
Outstanding post. Sums up my feelings on this issue very eloquently.
This is why Iâll be choosing life tomorrow and voting No.
If an Irish woman wants an abortion now she can go to the UK.
Iâm happy with that set up. If Ireland votes yes then loads of women will still go to the UK for post 12 week exterminations. Let them off.
If Ireland votes No we keep this disgusting inhumane act out of our country, and that is worth celebrating.
The poor unfortunates who need an abortion on medical grounds or because they have been raped can ask simon harris why he decided it was a good idea to lump them in with the lifestyle abortionists. Hopefully that despicable little rat faced toad will be able to come up with a good answer for them that will make rhem feel a bit better because it will be an utterly appalling situation harris created for them.
