an fear rua: internet failure
toys fucked out of pram, site will reopen
At least we can still access the pub crawl feature and the soap opera.
What the hell?
Bizarre moderation policies, arbitrary bannings, censorship of anything outside the Brian Carthy school of GAA analysis, constant spamming of his own forum, regular attempts at self glorification and demands to acknowledge what a “service” he was providing. Cahill was some tool.
He must have been running the site out of the Railway Hotel
Nah, I’d say the bots will snap that up the price would be prohibitive.
AFRIP
Who could have known that such a hotbed of gombeenism would fail to connect with Ireland’s internet savvy youth?
I for one, welcome An Fear Rua refugees …
Maybe there is scope for a merger or acquistion.A share for share exchange from An fear rua to TFK.
Obviously there would be cultural differences and a work practices and policy procedural review would need to be carried out.
I am sure there would be many synergistic benefits.
I would love to see South Limerick Referee and TASE discussing the merits of video analysis or hawkeye been introduced into the GAA or whether Sigerson competitions should be run off before Christmas to stop interference with the national leagues.
TASE would also be able to rejuvenate his archaic antiquitated wumming skills.(new low for GAA part…)*
*For a while

This is the harsh reality of the Internet. If he doesn’t like it, he knows where the door is.
A big day internet history.
Where TFK finally steps out of it’s grubby role as soft porn for slobs, into the limelight as Irelands premier GAA forum.
I’m sure Rocko is already rolling out a social media campaign to drive AFR users to here.
Alison O’Riordan doesn’t look so bad in comparison.

You want rocko to become anfearnua?
We have only gotten one new user in the last 12 hours or so since AFR closed - some lad by the name of hobanerocat. They all must be gone to http://clarehurlersforum.proboards.com/index.cgi

How many years have the LL threads been gone? Rocko has been preparing for this day for some time now. On September 11th TFK will rise up.
Firstly AFR became a victim of whatever success it had in and around 2010. LC turfed out a good few of the lads on here and what registered thereafter were nothing short of clowns.
The final straw for me was 2 lads posting on the Clare team for the waterford game and “confirmed” what the team was going to be without having a notion as to what it turned out to be. Then no apology they just kept on posting. Afr was excellent for finding out results and lads opinions on games but over the summer it gradually deteriorated. You have a few decent sorts over there posting, but for the most part now the IQ levels arent entirely different to adults with an unhealthy interest in Telly bingo etc.
As TASE has pointed out, we could have a raft of refugees now and while is be glad to see 1 or 2 of them, particularly with regard to Clare hurling matters, the remainder would make sh!t of this site!
I’d forgotten about that place. Its hour has come
