Ahoy there Bandage

where would be a good spot to park around Innovate Wexford Park?

Would you not be better asking one of the Wexicans that has actually parked a car ??

@Bandage is the only one of them that knows where Wexford Park is.

North End United - two minute walk from the Park. It’s directly opposite St. Peter’s College.

In the little parking area down from my folks’ house, pal. We can stroll over to the park together then.

Alternatively there’s a Lidl a few hundred yards from the ground and many match-goers park in its car park if they arrive early and nab a spot. They claim to be clamping down on this (parking for customer use only - clamping in operation) but I don’t think they follow through on this threat.

Clonard Church and St Peter’s College at either end of the ground will be offering pay parking for a fiver as usual. If you arrive early you can also park for free a bit out the Clonard Road and walk up to the ground.

I’m a firm advocate of the open terrace side of Wexford Park. It’s usually chilly in the stand and you can bask in the sunshine on the open side. Concrete slab of a seat though unless you get a spot leaning against the back wall where the auld lads gather to criticise everything/everyone and roar at lads to drive it in.

Cheers @Bandage. I’ll see you Sunday so.

I would never recommend parking in North End United’s grounds given my affiliation with Wexford Albion F.C. That said, it’s a convenient spot to park too.

@Fagan ODowd - it might be worth your while seeking advice from @farmerinthecity on how to navigate the roundabouts in Wexford town. Farmer had a bit of an incident a few years ago and I’d hate for something similar to happen you.

Wexford sounds like a very dangerous place.

Safe enough now farmer’s in Dublin.

Thanks Mac. Wexford are a shower of cunts really.

Obliging cunts though

Bumper(as in large, not the type you see in carnivals) crowd expected today.

Big crowd in already.

Crowd warmed up with Margaret Doyle playing Darude, Sandstorm over the tannoy. It didn’t really get the excitement going tho, needs more fireworks.

We have another Hillsboro on our hands. Standing on the open stand side and they’re still letting people in. And the coffee is shit too.

Innovate Wexford Park is a fine venue. Taking @Bandage s advice I took my seat in the open stand, managing to get a spot on the halfway line which was nice. I parked in Whitemill industrial estate, which was both free and convenient. I was sitting behind Wexford legend Martin Storey who looked very dapper in a pair of stylish sunglasses.

I was sitting near enough to the back to hear the leh hih in te fuck merchants that Bandage warned me about. They were apopoplectic with Wexfords short puck out “strategy”. I was also sitting behind one of those classic “two bad teams” merchants. An opinion he voiced many times during the game.

The lads directly behind me made repeated references to rugby and refused to believe that Waterford’s no 24 was Austin Gleeson “because he’s not in the programme”. Wexford people are a bit weird.

All in all a pleasant day and I look forward to another trip to Innovate Wexford Park when they make it back to Division 1A.

@Fagan ODowd, I did the vast majority of my underage drinking in the grounds of various factories in the Whitemill Industrial Estate. Glad you found the area convenient and enjoyed our county grounds.
