It’s a stupid argument - what exactly is a “meaningful match”?The only game the two of them have played in the past few years where it was win or go home for either team involved - let alone one of them was last Sunday.

That Munster final in the gg’s , 2023 was it? That’s the one they really should have won. They were the better team and but for a glut of awful wides they’d have triumphed.
I wouldn’t be as negative on Lohan as Elvis- there were times he could have set them up better. But you have to respect the way he went about it… tenacious, aggressive … and while Cork might have gotten bigger results against Limerick recently i think it’s fair to say they were against a Limerick in decline. Lohan went toe to toe with Limerick at their peak and but for a tad bit of luck would have at least 1 munster title against them.
A game of inches… but you have to remember where Clare were at 5 or 6 years ago.

Id compare that limerick v Clare rivalary to the Dublin V Mayo one.Clare were very like Mayo ,they went toe to toe with Dublin and came up just short.
