Smart move by RTE to attract interest in the domestic league by choosing to televise Limerick-Cork on Sunday in direct competition with Liverpool-Spurs and Manchester United-Chelsea.
Shamrock Rovers held by Dundalk.
Sligo with a decent win at the Brandywell.
It should have been on last night but that cunt Ryle Nugent obviously thought more people would be interested in watching Ireland U20’s play rugger rather than watching the mighty Super Blues. Ridiculous decision
we’re 4 up on wexford with about 12 minutes to go, hope its a sign of things to come.
the decision to have limerick and cork on at 5-15pm on a sunday night is fucking absurd, i have no comment to make on the stupididty of this decision

But you’ve just said it was absurd?
tuning in online here to the Limerick vs cork city game.
sad to see Tony Ward choosing to go to Twickenham instead of attending today’s game but in fairness he will never be forgotten in Limerick for his performance at full back against Bohs in the 1982 FAI cup final where they won 2-0
will be weird to see Joe Gamble play against Cork City tonight, Shane Duggan is in midfield for Cork, he’s from Limerick and his dad played with my ould fella back in the 80’s.
5-15pm KO, fucking bizarre stuff from the FAI,
The RTE panel are looking well
the cork city fans giving a rendition of “in your Limerick slums…” as the game gets underway
Pitch is poor enough looking
Brian Kerr commenting that the pitch is more suitable to scrums and mauls and whatever
Limerick playing some very composed football here
is the belgian guy on the left actually called Axel of has Brian Kerr just given him that name?
runt, who is paying these fellas?
this could all end in tears i fear
lovely anectdote here now as brian tells us he played for bluebell utd down in the old iveagh grounds against Eoin Hand’s Limerick back in the 80’s, 2 real football men
Dan Murray working down in ringaskidy in a pharmaceutical plant and cant make it to midweek away games
Daryl Horgan is a very decent left full in fairness for Cork, the fucking state of that junkie Barry Ryan in goal for Limerick, surely the Fingal Raven has given him some abuse during his Pat’s days
Good game this now, Coln Healy beginning to get into it for Cork
This Axel bloke played for Motherwell and Hamilton in the SPL so it may take him a while to get used to the standard here

Pat O’Sullivan.
He owns estuary fuels, you might be familiar with his coal yards a couple of miles the askeaton side of Foynes?
I wouldn’t have thought he would have that kind of big money to be able to bank roll a soccer club. I’d be interested to see their wage bill.

jesus, are you serious*?
i never knew that, he’d be better off fixing that fucking sloping pitch down in Foynes,
*i know you are, just saying it to emphasise my suprise
Not sure about this Axel lad. Seems like a bit of a headless chicken with a woeful touch.
Limerick passing it about nicely . Need a bit more cutting edge though
surprised sandymount red hasnt been on this thread to denounce the shameful scenes at the carlisle grounds the other night

correct, as i said earlier he played SPL and that’s a problem stepping up to this level
Cork playing well now here, Brian O Callaghan described as “portly” by the lads
