As we advance through Autumn time to consider the best musical offerings of the year. I’m conscious that I haven’t heard the new Frank Ocean record yet so that may be added later.
Anyway here is a selection.
I’ve only listened to Johann Johannsson and De La Soul from that list, the former good, the latter pretty shit .

Best two rap albums this year are from Schoolboy Q and Isiah Rashad.

A grown man listening to wanna be gangsters talking over a beat about how they are going to pop caps in people or calling women bitches and making up rhymes about their arse…it’s pathetic and juvenile at best. Rap could have been good but instead it’s just all about the lowest common denominator. It’s all flash and no substance… Whatever about deluded blacks listening to it believing it’s their culture, but Irish lads listening to rap have to be the most pathetic bunch of cunts out there.
