Albums you’ve listened to most

In your lifetime. Not your current favorite albums. Saw this on Twitter during the week. Interesting exercise. List only 5.

For me I’d say

REM Fables of the Reconstruction
Moving Hearts The Storm
Can Future Days
Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works Volume 1
Bob Marley and the Wailers Uprising

That’s tricky.

The Beatles 1966-70 (the blue record)
ABC - The Lexicon of Love
Frank Sinatra - Come Fly with Me
Ultravox -Greatest Hits
Oasis - Definitely Maybe

This is difficult. REM, Pixies and Smiths albums could conceivably have the top 5 respectively.

U2 - Achtung Baby
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Oasis - What’s the Story Morning Glory
Power of Dreams - Immigrants Emigrants and Me
Whipping Boy - Heartworm

It was played a lot at home.

Pixies - Surfer Rosa
The Wedding Present - Seamonsters
REM - Automatic for the People
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada (EP)
The Smiths - The Queen is Dead

Albums that were in the mix for me were

Deep Purple Machine Head
Motörhead Ace of Spades
The Cramps Off the Bone
De La Soul Three Feet High and Rising
Happy Monday’s Pills Thrills and Bellyaches

It’s ok pal. I’m not having a snipe at you. I’m just taking the opportunity to post a funny.

Yeah. I’d say the red and blue records were in a lot of houses.

Quelle surprise

Bat out of Hell would be a good shout for me too. I’m on to my second vinyl copy of it. I wore out the first one.

I’d say that was one of the first records we bought. There was a Beach Boys “live in London” record that was played to death as well.

The first two you mention are great albums .

The Waterboys -,this is the sea

St Germain : Tourist

David Bowie - Changes
marillion : misplaced childhood

At a guess I’d say:

Nirvana - In Utero
Led Zeppelin IV
Verve - Urban Hymns
Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun
Sleep - Dopesmoker

The first two of those I’d rarely listen to anymore, especially Led Zep who I haven’t listened to in years. The others would get the odd blast alright. Spotify has ruined me, album-wise. But I’m like, waaay more, like, eclectic now

The Clash - Combat Rock
Nirvana - Nevermind
Sade - Diamond Life
The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
Marvin Gay - Lets get it on.
