Albums You've Rediscovered

We all have albums that we once loved but let slip into obscurity for many years only to stumble upon them and relive the joy of the album all over again.

Last night this this magic happened me. Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman.

I’ve loved the album cover since a kid also

Listening to The Prodigy The fat of the land in the car again lately.

Written by Gordon Peterson who performed under the name of Indio on this 1989 album, Big Harvest. Some of the tracks on this album were covered by Eddie Vedder on the soundtrack for the movie Into The Wild (2007).

The auld fella was a fan- throw in Neil Young and some Motown/Soul like the Stylistics and Drifters and they’d be the albums he would play while painting or doing some DIY around the house and they become yours as you get older. So in some ways i’ve rediscovered them twice if you know what I mean. That’s why i’d also have a softspot for Abba and Mary Black also from ‘the’ mother playing them…

Both The Drifters and Queen’s greatest hits (Vol. 1 for Queen) were the first two albums I was really into at about 9 or 10.

Driving Home for Christmas one of them?

There cannot be many bands who had so many stone cold classic songs in such a relatively short time.
