I would have Roy Keane in there.
He’d be on the next level down. On a par with Mark Lawrenson, Ronnie Whelan and Don Givens.
Lawrenson is the best I saw play for ROI

He could play centre back , full back or midfield .
John O 'Shea could do all that plus play in goals.
Is versatility is coming into this then Quinn is in the conversation.

A hand full of colossal games but 90% were as middling and mediocre as you would expect.
Frank Stapleton was surely as good as Don Givens?
Under Kerr he was poor, same under Stan (like everyone) but he was excellent under Trap.
His best football came under Trap alright and into O’Neills reign but excellent is a slight stretch. Dunne and St Ledger gave better and more consistent performances during trap’s time.
Brian Kerr has the highest win percentage of any manager that Managed the Republic of Ireland for more than one game.
Robbie played in 24 games for Brian Kerr scoring 11. He played in 50 for traps scoring in 21
I think Givens was better.
