Clare 2014 were the worst defenders of the title in recent memory. Lost both of their games one against a poor WX team. Both WX 1997 and LK 2019 won provincial titles the year after winning the AI so your hypothesis is baseless in fact.

Any actual discussion of the game going on in here? I think if we are to have any hope of winning Noel Mcgrath needs to be kept quiet. Which I think he will be. I also expect Fennelly to have a stormer as he always seems to have a bit extra against Tipp. He’s a great bet for man of the match.

I’d forgotten that game! If we dont get at least a goal and a few points out of him we are in a lot of bother. Will probably need to score 25/26 points minimum to win it. If the full back line are taken to the cleaners that probably wont even be enough.

They will do it right from the start, they’ve been doing it all year. If Kilkenny hold them to one goal in the first half I expect Kilkenny will go and excert control when the game is their to be won. Walshs Wally and Tommy will both make hay on Sunday

0-3 from play in ‘14, in ‘16, nada zilch sfa nothing. Hasn’t faired much better in league matches against Tipp either. James Barry has his number and this is a player that people describe as flaky, if a flaky fullback has your number it’s time to think about going back junior B
