Very quiet on here from both sides. I’d imagine if it was a LK vs Wex final Rocko would need a new server.
I see the bookies make Tipp the slight favourites. Probably down to their greater scoring prowess. Tactically I cant see it either team bringing anything new. I’d imagine 2014 will weigh a bit on both teams minds. Tipp controlled how the game was played the 1st day while KK dictated this in the replay. Getting the match ups right here influenced this.
For Tipp to win I think 2 things need to happen. Firstly the need to get their match ups right in defence. Barrett on Hogan, Ronan fullback on Colin Fen, Brendan to manmark Mullen, Barry Heff to go horsing with Walter. Kennedy should do ok on Donnelly. Paudie to pick up TJ and contest with him on puckouts. Tj is their main target here. When TJ goes drifting outfield it will be up to the MF, HF line to stifle him. Force him into passing ball back to other players.
The 2nd thing Tipp need to win is to at least break even in the HF. Any success against KK in the past has came from here and Bonnar was an integral part of this. Now the KK HB line isn’t as good as the one of ten years ago but it is decent strong and wiry. P Walsh is a standout, while Paddy Deegan is a very underrated player who is in with a shout of an all star in my opinion. I can see Tipp playing 4 out here and leaving 2 inside hoping to expose the space. The other way of beating that halfback line is bypassing it. Hogan with a breeze can hit the FF line. I dont trust him to hit good short/medium puck outs though so our defence can work it out through the lines.

Reid destroyed Paidi Maher in the 2012 semi in the air, a game i had the pleasure of attending. Ronan Maher on him would make more sense
He has over 10 Inter County final victories. Plus Fitzgibbons and Harty cups. 
That game was a meltdown. Hard to believe Tipp were a pt up at ht. Pa Bourke was our best that day and was one of the fall guys after.
The KK puckout strategy is to put it on top of TJ. Paudie is our best man in the air. Let him on him. Also I feel Ronan is a safer option at full back.
Tipperary are rightly favourites for the final. They won’t be caught out like Limerick were in the first 20 minutes.
Would fancy Tipperary by 6 or 7 points.
You’d nearly forget this match was on. Having an All Ireland in mid August is just not right.

I can’t get my head around it
Tipperary still had to score the last 4 points to get a draw that day despite missing two penalties and spurning 2 or 3 other goal chances.
That seems to be the case anyways.

I just can’t see Tipp winning without Bonner tbh. Kilkenny will play game on their terms and they have Tipps number in an arm wrestle.
Before the semi v Wexford I said no bonner no party and backed Wexford to the hilt.
I must now change that to no Bonner no bother, so impressive were tipp in that game.
Didn’t think they had it in them but fair play to them, an outstanding performance against all the odds.
Maybe Wexford blew it a little but tipp were great and are rightly favourites for the final.
They’ll win on Sunday by 5 or more.

Tipp will win this handy I’d say - it has been the worse championship in years and I’m not even looking forward to the game
