All-Ireland Football Championship 2022

Oh right….Whatever happened with that “constituency office” that Bertie was living in?
St.Something or other….

Its an improvement on what’s there and what was proposed last year but the group stage doesn’t sound too enticing, 3 from 4 leaves very little jeopardy and a few D1 teams can possibly sleepwalk into knockout format with a single win from 4 championship games.

Luke’s ??

Someone might do up an example of what this might look like using how last year panned out. Is it in for 2023?
Edit
Based on last year’s champ you’d have for groups something like

Dublin
Galway
Armagh
Down

Mayo
Monaghan
Meath
Clare

Kerry
Kildare
Roscommon
Donegal

Tyrone
Cork
Westmeath
Laois

If Dublin went back to being mere mortals it might be half decent.

Every Muldoon team would love a John small

A winner.

Does he hurl ???

Jesus but we’ve had our fair share of them and it didn’t do us any good.

Unfortunately I’ve never been able to find it online but as he was being dismissed in the championship V Mayo about 1996, John Maughan was bucklepping with joy about 5 yards inside the touch line when Gerry Flanagan detoured and floored Maughan with a haymaker.
We were defeat narrowly but it cemented Winker’s status as a legend.

No one in Ballymun hurls

He is indeed. Home Farm rd. Extremely leafy.

Small got what he deserved but the cunt here was the Laois man who did a Ballygunner on it. Threw a slap, got one back and then dropped like a dying swan.

How did naby’s brother play for Dublin?

Called ashore with about 15 to go. His bootlace became undone and he seemed to turn ever so slightly on his ankle. 6 weeks the medical team think…

Setanta?

That’s twice Evan Carroll has mugged off John Small, Small won’t like that one bit.

Billy has Laois moving in the right direction and a lot of new blood. You’d have to be happy with that.

It appears that a throw in time is in place for Clare vs Tipp which would suggest live tv

Presumably Mayo vs Galway will be live.

Will BBC show Donegal vs Armagh ?

I doubt they will meet this year.

I don’t even know what format the championship takes this year. Is super 8s gone? How will they manage, some teams not going into qualifiers and some teams that do?
