Itās a pretty obnoxious article and Iād say Dessie Farrell is far from happy with it. Completely unnecessary to be punching down on mayo like that.
Hickey was a great man who did great things on and off the field but most likely for the reasons mentioned above his ramblings are becoming more and more bizarre. He needs to be decommissioned.

Thereās something about Mayo that have lads from neighbouring counties driven distracted. I canāt put my finger on itā¦ getting to finals and losing them most probably. But that doesnāt fully define it. Lads from Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon having a pop is fascinating. At least the Galway lads have a bit of silver.

I think youāll find it might be the older generation from neighbouring counties having a pop at them.I for one admire this Mayo Team.They are the only county to have really put it up to a professional team in Dublin albeit not beating them.When you think of all the great games of the teens Mayo were involved in a lot of them.I would love to see them win this evening.
