Eh? I think he was referring to Aussie getting a dig in the balls the other day
Do we reckon Limerick had a plan to interfere with the testicles of the Waterford players?
Ah lads. He knows well what it was about and deflected very well.
People say refs favour New Zealand in rugby or Liverpool in soccer. Same with limerick now in hurling. Itâs just part and parcel of winning.
Thanks. Most fans are too one eyed to even contemplate observations like that. Case in point, @Juhniallio. I donât think it really takes from Dublin or kilkenny either to point it out. Theyâre still awesome and generational teams.
I donât think Limerick get major decisions per se, its just that they foul every time they tackle so if the refs gave all the fouls that he should he would get lambasted as favouring the other team
I think thereâs many reasons why people think refs favour Dublin but actual bias is rubbish imo. Same in all sports.
limerick are pushing the boundaries just like kk did in the 00s.
I donât think we foul every time we tackle but we are aggressive in forcing turnovers and that sometimes oversteps and translates into more fouls. I wouldnât be surprised if we start to see refs calling us up more for persistent fouling. I donât think there are any major decisions that could be viewed as turning points that refs have gotten wrong in Limerickâs favour.
They did. Thatâs a great example. France were rode in a WC final in order to hand it to NZ.
The officials missed the 65 last year which cost us 3 in a row.
Yeah wasnât their some stat after the 2017 final that Ciaran Kilkenny only touched the ball 8 times (Lee Keegan was marking him). Kilkenny has transformed in terms of his contribution in the last 2/3 years. Seems far more confident in the shooting zone now.
Can anyone ever envisage a situation where say Tyrone vs Kerry contest an All Ireland final and the chosen referee will live and work in one of those counties ?
Yes
Nope and if there was there would be up roar. Rightly too.
Mayo foul a lot from the front to slow down the play and get their shape and players back. It will be interesting to see if Coldrick pulls up serial offenders like the OâConnor brothers with yellow cards. Somehow I doubt it.
Not in Mayoâs interest to make a big deal of it and lose focus on the task in hand.
Iâd just be interested in seeing has it ever occurred before in hurling finals or football finals where Dublin were not involved ?
Fwiw, I expect Coldrick to ref the game fairly. I just canât imagine a lad living and working in Limerick or Waterford being chosen to ref last Sundayâs final for example.
They also regularly elbow lads in the head. And dive and complain to the ref. (The o connors this is.)
What an absolute ball of shite
The poor fella has lost 4 county Finals & 4 All Irelandâs
4 of them games by a point.
Small margins and all that.
Probably low chance alright given they donât have a quarter of the countryâs population living/working there
