I was being somewhat tongue in cheek but the Coghlans Syls/Offaly; Nesty Smith, Plunketts/Cavan; Pat Burke Crokes/Clare; Jason Ward Brigids/Leitrim (traded a few digs with him back in the day) in football and the Waldrons (Cuala/Derry); Judes lads with Mayo & Sheanons (Cuala/Cavan) in hurling spring to mind.

Remove the parentage rule and have a draft of the willing funded by Croke Park.

Shane McGrath from Davis was with us as well at the time, made some bit easier with other lads travelling down but still a huge thing to take on. Would you really bother if you have the regular feed of good quality club games going?

Weā€™ve kids with parents from 12 different countries playing with our under 9s. A diverse bunch.

Crokes also run a sports club at weekend now for kids with disabilities and sensory issues.

They have ability to bring in kids with disabilities or Down syndrome to the Cul Camps now by using SNAs.

The money is really about participation and itā€™s been well spent.
