Rogers was only an auld cod of a goalie
Has anyone any idea who or what is bankrolling Louth?
I doubt very much that Micky Harte either wants or asks for much (he strikes me as the type who would pay to do it) but, he also strikes me as the type that wouldn’t touch a job without assurances on the set up. Expensive ones most likely.
Best not to ask questions like that.
It was nice knowing you Flatty
Oops
Cmaaan Louth.
Morgan “Fuels” were sponsoring them.
Just trawling through old programmes online there and who did I spot at No.22 on a Mayo team prior to the Connacht final of either 77/80 thereabouts but the famous J.Sloyan (Kiltimagh).
Looking through a raft of 70/80s programmes very few minors made the step up, the figure would be around 10% at a push.
Very few stayed in the country I’d imagine
Making the step up from being an incredibly talented minor isn’t as easy as it looks
The whole internet thing came too late for many of them alright.
Only the most special ones managed the transition from starlet to media personality.
Larry Goodman.
AIBP,they were but are they still? Is he paying Mickeys wage?
John Boyle possibly?
Yeah hanging around in the West of Ireland in the late 70s early 80s was mot in vogue
Jimmy sloyan is the quintessential handy minor took to the drink. His opinion still holds a bit of weight but he’s as bitter as fuck
That’d make sense actually
Louth were raffling two houses as a fundraiser early in the year.
Was it @anon67715551 who reported that was the way a manager used to be paid in days of yore - you’d get a pick of a house in a new development
Was one of them shergar?
