All Ireland Gold or now to be known as old matches on d’tele

Martin didn’t even to for the ball, bulldozed Graven :joy:

There was a view around the nineties that the kildare team were soft . They weren’t - just didn’t have enough good forwards

The old Croke Park had such a better atmosphere than the current one.

Was Eddie McCormack Kildare’s best forward? My memory is Martin Lynch was considered the main man up front back then but McCormack always seemed to play better in the big games.

The cycling shorts on the Meath corner back

It was funny when Jim didn’t have a notion why Geraghty was sent off.

I forgot that Graven guy existed.

I’ve no recollection of the referee Pat O’Toole either.

Niall Buckley was a great player for Kildare too.

Colm Boyle’s main role appears to be berating the ref

Been at it all game alright.

Jim Carney in the 1st half “Colm Coyle hard done by there” A phrase I never ever remember hearing.

Weak pelanty

The Kildare full back was some bag of shite.

Davy Dalton after a good game makes a hames of collecting a high ball into the square.

One huge thing - there was no 7 minutes extra time back then

Kildare fittingly finished with two absolute Hail Mary wides

After the penalty was saved was it him who lashed the ball into the Hogan Stand also, rather than holding on to possession…?!

Think so. Kildare always had a few baldies in their team but think it was him.

I think Lynch was really a midfielder pushed into the forwards to give Kildare more punch there. They had other options at midfield

I think there was some connection family wise between Martin Lynch and Jack O’Shea

Jody Devine :clap::clap:

That was some togshitting from Kildare.
