That stupid fucking prick of a song…:mad::mad:

Second that
The qualifier games between the beaten provincial semi-finalists are almost always won by the home team. Only a few exceptions over the last five or six years that I can think of.

On the other hand the long layoff thing makes a certain amount of sense but how many teams could you really say have been undone by it?
teams that were not good enough to win semi finals have used it as an excuse. Kilkenny regularly won all Ireland semi’s after a a lay off. Tipp did as well

Result.

Laois 2-13 London 0-16.

Cheddar looked like he came out of a sauna there during that interview. Water/sweat dripping off him. And a big woolie hat.

Hope that cunt Martin Kiely was soaked wet covering the Carlow-Westmeath match today.

Kilkenny beat Clare tonight. 2-18 1-17

teams up on CH.com for those interested…

Lovely new grounds you have out there now CLD. Seems massive and parkland-y

How did this go? Any cut in it, who reff’d it?

Dickie Murphy was the referee. It was a well organised and well staged event but it was only a challenge.*
I thought we were ok, at the start of the second half Clare started the running out from the half back line keeping the possession and short passing with a crowded midfield and half forward line and one man in on the full but we got to grips with it and they got nowhere near the goal but scored points and won frees further out.

Our forwards, apart from TJ Reid were not great although Colin Fennelly got through on goal twice in the first half , one shot was stopped by the keeper and the other he put over for a point. He had some shocking wides too.
Kieran Joyce played very well having played a club game earlier on and Michael Rice came on .

*Although, the two free takers had plenty of intent when taking the 20 metre frees

Foolish

He played one half as did Paul Murphy- it was a Rower v Danesfort club match on earlier.
Richie Hogan (also from Danesfort) took no part in last nights challenge match.

What is the likely half backline for Cork next weekend?

Going by the league, McLoughlin/Joyce/Egan.

However in recent challenges Joyce has been in the corner and Mark Ellis (Millstreet) has been at 6, so who knows?

Hardly matters for Waterford mind.

Who is reffing Waterford-Cork on Sunday? One of the Westmeath lads?

Diarmuid Kirwan was dropped from the referees championship panel a few weeks ago.
